10th edition CIFF – 10-14 April 2024
One of the objectives of the Curaçao International Film Festival is to show an alternative world view by means of so-called ‘art house’ films. But what if you can create this alternative view yourself by means of film and photography?
As part of the 2nd edition of the Curaçao IFFR that will be held from Thursday April 4th through Sunday April 7th 2013, the festival, in addition to the ‘Short Movies, BIG Stories’ contest, organizes a photography competition.
Participation is free and open to residents of Curaçao of all ages.
The conditions are simple: take a digital black & white photograph with a subject belonging to one of the following categories: Shapes, On the Road, Mr. Moonlight, People Who Need People, and Abandoned and Forgotten.
Entrants may enter in as many categories as they like, but with a maximum of three (3) photos per category.
Photos may be submitted from 1 November 2012 through 31 January 2013. However, the photographs themselves may date as of 29 March 2012. This was the starting date of the first edition of the film festival.
The Top 3 entries will be rewarded with cash prize of ANG 3.000.-, ANG 1.500,- and ANG 750,- respectively. Curaçao IFFR will also publish an article about the (Top 3) winners including their winning photos and bio.
So: go ahead, be creative and show us your world in black & white!
