The population of the former Netherlands Antilles is composed of different groups. The film presents a varied and colorful overview of their cultural expressions. Featuring, among others, Tula by Pacheco Domacassé with Eddy Kelly, with Chris and Lucilla Engels, Aura (waltz) by Albert and Edgar Palm, barrel organ, Kompa Nanzi, May Henriquez, Nepomuceno, Yubi Kirindongo, Olario, Ced Ride, Luigi Pinedo, Frans Booi, Toton and Salsbach Trio.

Felix de Rooy leaves a distinctive mark on this vibrant and colorful film production by Tecla, thanks in part to beautiful camera work by Marc Felperlaan and sound recordings by Harrie Verstappen.
